The Jump-Scare Queen Strikes Again!

Everything is peaceful.

Hershey is minding his business.

I’m minding mine.

And somewhere nearby...

RaeRae is plotting. 😂

This girl LOVES finding little hiding places where Hershey and I can’t see her. She’ll crouch down, wait for the perfect moment, and then suddenly pop out like...

“HERE I AM!” 😂

And yes, she has scared both of us more than once!

The funniest part is what happens afterward.

RaeRae just looks at us like she has absolutely NO idea why we jumped.

Meanwhile poor Hershey is probably thinking...

“Where did she even COME from?!”

😂😂😂

But as silly as these little moments are, they remind me of something.

Sometimes we get so busy dealing with life that we forget to enjoy the simple things God places right in the middle of our everyday lives.

A goofy pet.

An unexpected laugh.

A ridiculous moment that makes you smile when you weren’t expecting to.

Joy doesn’t always come through something big.

Sometimes it comes through a little tabby cat hiding behind your blanket waiting to scare the daylights out of you. 😂

And I’m thankful for those moments.
